조현화랑은 2025년 8월 29일부터 10월 26일까지 이광호 개인전 〈시선의 흔적 Traces of Gaze〉를 개최한다. 이번 전시는 작가가 20여 년 만에 다시 선보이는 초상화 8점과 2023년부터 이어온 <Blow-Up> 프로젝트 76점을 포함해 총 90여 점을 공개하며, 이광호의 30년 작업 세계를 관통하는 핵심적 화두인 '시선'의 문제를 집약적으로 보여준다.

조현화랑_서울은 2025년 9월 2일부터 11월 16일까지 김홍주 개인전을 개최한다. 김홍주는 1970년대 ST 그룹 활동을 시작으로 ‘극사실’ 회화, 서체 회화, 구상적 이미지 등을 거쳐 현재에 이르기까지 회화의 조건을 탐구해 온 작가다. 그의 궤적은 단순히 양식의 전환이 아니라, 회화가 성립할 수 있는 기반을 각 시기마다 다른 언어로 실험해온 과정이었다. 이번 전시는 이러한 오랜 탐구의 연장선에서 최근의 신작과 더불어 과거 작업을 다시 호출하며 회화의 본질적 가능성을 점검한다.

Johyun Gallery_Seoul is pleased to present Kim Hong Joo's solo exhibition, on view from September 2 through November 16, 2025. Kim Hong Joo has devoted his practice to exploring the fundamental conditions of painting, beginning with the ST Group in the 1970s and moving through hyperrealist painting, calligraphic works, and figurative imagery to arrive at his current investigations. His trajectory represents not simply a series of stylistic transitions, but a sustained examination of the very foundations upon which painting might be established—each period articulated through its own distinct visual language. This exhibition extends that inquiry, presenting recent works alongside selected historical pieces to interrogate painting's essential possibilities.
